I love The New Yorker but have trouble, one, with reading them in a timely fashion and, two, throwing away the cartoons that I snipped out. Here is a favorite. The caption is as follows, "Well, instead of discussing the book we could discuss why none of us had time to read it."
Phew, now I can recycle it!
I gather we are meeting on 4/28/10 to discuss The Last Chinese Chef by Nicole Mones. Not sure of place or food provider.
Oh, and we should not read Olive Kitteridge next since the PPL fiction book group is discussing it on May 13th so most of their copies will be checked out.
P.S. I have an interesting article about Paul Auster and his books to bring to the April meeting.
